Philippe Lafoucrière
Founder & Chief Technology Officer
Founder and CTO Philippe Lafoucrière brings over two decades of entrepreneurial and engineering experience to the smart home automation space. A serial founder since university, Philippe started Gemnasium in 2011—a pioneering dependency scanning company in the software supply chain industry—which was later acquired by GitLab in 2018.
As a Distinguished Engineer at GitLab for seven years, Philippe worked closely with OCV's founder and general partner, Sid Sijbrandij, an experience that profoundly shaped his approach to building transparent and vision-driven open core companies.
Mike Miranda
Co-Founder & Head of Growth
Mike Miranda's path to entrepreneurship is anything but conventional. From pre-med student turned door-to-door sales rep turned software sales professional turned founder. That journey gave him a rare combination of grit, customer empathy, and commercial instinct that he brings to Selora Homes.
Before joining Selora Homes, Mike was an early sales hire at GitLab, where he became a top-performing rep. He went on to found venture-backed companies — OpTonal and MineCompare AI — building products and bringing them to market from zero, learning firsthand what it takes to bring a vision to market.
At Selora Homes, Mike leads growth, partnerships, and go-to-market strategy — translating a deeply technical product into something homeowners and installers understand, trust, and want to buy.
Gunnar Beck Nelson
Senior Software Engineer (AI)
Gunnar Beck Nelson (BS, MS, MRes) is a computer engineer focused on building intelligent, scalable systems across enterprise and research environments. His work spans across machine learning, computer vision, embedded systems, and distributed cloud architecture, with an emphasis on performance, reliability, and production-grade execution.
With a background bridging advanced engineering research and real-world software deployment, he specializes in translating complex technical systems into secure, scalable infrastructure, designed for practical operation. He has led and executed the development, architecture, and secure deployment of production-grade AI-integrated enterprise systems within the US federal government.
Anthony Monaco
Customer Support Engineer
Anthony Monaco is a customer support and implementation leader with deep experience helping customers adopt complex technical products. His 10 year background spans technical support, solutions-oriented customer success, and early-stage startup operations, with a focus on turning complex systems into smooth, practical customer experiences.
At Selora Homes, Anthony works closely with customers during onboarding, installation, and ongoing support to ensure each smart home system is configured around real household needs. He helps bridge the gap between technical setup and day-to-day usability, making advanced home automation approachable, reliable, and tailored to each client.
