The Aqara Smart Lock U200 is a retrofit deadbolt kit with native Matter over Thread, a wireless fingerprint keypad, and Apple home key. Home Assistant controls it locally through the Matter integration with no Aqara hub at all.

Mounts over an existing single-cylinder deadbolt with no drilling, so it suits renters and quick installs. Needs a Thread border router and a Matter controller; Home Assistant then gets local lock, unlock, state, and battery with near-instant response. Fingerprint and PIN management stays in the Aqara app or Apple Home, and no door sensor is exposed, so pair it with a contact sensor. Runs on a rechargeable battery. Officially in Aqara's Works with Home Assistant device list. Don't confuse it with the stripped-down U200 Lite.
