The Aqara Smart Video Doorbell G4 is a battery-or-wired 1080p doorbell with an indoor chime. Paired directly to Home Assistant over HomeKit, the stream and doorbell presses are handled locally with no subscription.
Pair it to Home Assistant with the HomeKit Device integration: the camera entity is local and the button press arrives as a device automation trigger, with no cloud round-trip. HomeKit pairing is exclusive, so HomeKit Secure Video only applies if you keep it in Apple Home instead. The indoor 95dB chime doubles as a Wi-Fi repeater and holds the microSD card (up to 512GB) for recordings, managed via the Aqara app. On-device facial recognition works offline; runs about four months on batteries or wires to 12–24V AC.
