Battery room sensor for ecobee thermostats that reports temperature and occupancy, so the thermostat heats and cools the rooms people are in. It reaches Home Assistant through the thermostat it is paired to.
Sold in pairs, and one comes in the box with the Smart Thermostat Premium. Each sensor talks to an ecobee thermostat over 915 MHz, up to 60 ft away, and never joins the network itself: pair it to the thermostat in the ecobee app, and it appears in Home Assistant as its own device with temperature and occupancy, through whichever integration the thermostat uses.
Occupancy covers about 20 ft in front of the sensor. A CR2477 coin cell lasts up to five years.
