Energy (U.S. & Canada)

SKU 20EBU4101

Eve Energy is a compact US smart plug on Matter over Thread, rated 15 A (1,800 W), that switches a lamp or appliance and measures how much power it uses.

A compact plug for one lamp or appliance, rated 15 A (1,800 W) at 120 V, with a button on the plug to switch it by hand. Eve says it is not meant for EV charging or other continuous high loads.

Home Assistant adds it through the Matter integration without an Eve account and switches the outlet. Eve names Home Assistant among the platforms that show its energy readings. Because it is always powered, it also relays for battery Thread sensors such as Eve Door & Window and Eve Motion, which makes the Thread network stronger. A Thread border router is still needed on the network.

Buy the current version, which has the Matter logo on the box. Older units were sold for Apple HomeKit only and have to be upgraded to Matter first, which takes an iPhone or iPad and an Apple home hub such as a HomePod mini.
