Gira's KNX IP router connects a KNX installation to the home network, which is how Home Assistant reaches the bus. It supports KNX Secure and up to four simultaneous connections.
A DIN rail module two units wide that links the KNX bus to Ethernet. Home Assistant can connect to it by tunneling, with up to four tunnel connections at once, or by routing. It supports KNX Data Secure and KNX IP Secure.
It can also couple KNX lines and areas over the network, act as a KNX clock, and record bus traffic to a microSD card, which is sold separately. It needs a 24 V supply, either a separate power supply or the spare output of a Gira KNX power supply.
The KNX keyring exported from ETS gives Home Assistant the keys for a secure installation.
