Roles it can fill
Permanent eave lighting with an anti-glare triangular lens, warm and cool white plus 16 million colors. Sold as H706A (100 ft), H706B (150 ft) and H706C (200 ft); all three are supported by govee_light_local. Cuttable and extendable, but runs past 150 ft need the Govee driver module included in the 200 ft kit, and total length must stay under 200 ft. Lights are IP67 with an IP65 control box; the power adapter is indoor rated, so plan an enclosure or interior location for it. For the local path, enable LAN Control on the device in the Govee Home app; Home Assistant then discovers it over UDP multicast to 239.255.255.250:4001, so the HA host has to sit on the same subnet as the lights and the network must pass multicast. Matter gives on/off, brightness and color, but the scene and segment effects only come over the LAN API or the app. Initial Wi-Fi provisioning still runs through the Govee Home app and a Govee account.
