HexaConnect Gateway
The HexaConnect gateway is the Overkiz DIN-rail box Hexaom fits into a new house at construction, in the electrical or communication panel. It runs the HexaConnect app's shutters, lighting, and heating, and Home Assistant reaches the same devices through the Overkiz integration with Hexaom HexaConnect as the server.

It lives in the GTL, either in the consumer unit or in the communication cabinet, and needs an RJ45 run to the internet box, which is the detail that decides whether integration work is a five minute job or a cable pull. Hexaom builds the compatibility list around the brands it specifies, Somfy, Atlantic, Schneider, Legrand, and Philips Hue among them, and pairs everything with an installer app at handover rather than leaving it to the buyer. Home Assistant sees whatever the Overkiz platform manages on the gateway, cloud only, so plan for the heating and shutters to be unavailable during an Overkiz outage and keep the physical wall controls as the fallback. Cloud-to-cloud partners in the HexaConnect app, Hue and Somfy Protect for instance, are not passed through by the integration and are better added to Home Assistant directly with their own integrations.
Hardware availability
The HexaConnect gateway is fitted at construction by Hexaom and is not sold separately, so it appears only in homes the group built. It is cloud only in Home Assistant. The gateway needs an RJ45 run from the panel to the internet box, which is worth confirming before quoting work on a home where the panel and the router ended up in different rooms.
