The Gen 2 Black Series Dimmer (LZW31) is a discontinued Z-Wave 500 series in-wall dimmer. It is the Red Series dimmer without energy reporting: the LED bar and multi-tap scene control are still there.

Discontinued. Z-Wave 500 series, and the budget sibling of the LZW31-SN: the meter command class is absent, so expect no power or energy entities in Home Assistant no matter how the node is re-interviewed. Central scene is present, so multi-tap scenes work, and the RGB LED bar still shows dim level. Same wiring envelope as the Red Series dimmer, with a neutral recommended and 400W incandescent, 300W LED and 150W CFL single-gang. Z-Wave JS ships it as lzw31-bsd, which is worth knowing when a node interviews as a Black Series and an installer is looking for lzw31. No retail page remains; the manual lives on the Inovelli help center.
