Same electronics family as the Zigbee 914 (Zigbee2MQTT covers both with one converter), so Home Assistant gets lock and unlock, battery, pin_code management, and keypad user events. The touchscreen trades the 914’s physical keys for a cleaner look. Pair it close to the coordinator: some coordinators see it join and immediately leave, and proximity plus a retry resolves it. Note the model history: the Z-Wave 916 is discontinued, but this Zigbee 3.0 generation is current and sold by Kwikset. Four AA batteries, SmartKey re-key.
