The Leviton ZW4SF is a Decora Smart Z-Wave in-wall control for a ceiling paddle fan, with off and four speeds from the wall or from Home Assistant.
Requires a neutral wire. It runs a ceiling paddle fan of up to 1.5 A at low, medium, high, or max, and the LEDs on the switch show the current speed. It is meant for pull-chain fans without their own electronic control, and it is not for exhaust fans, lighting, or a fan with a built-in light kit. For a fan controlled from two places, add a DD00R wired companion at the second switch.
Home Assistant controls it as a fan. It uses Leviton’s earlier 700 Series Z-Wave chip, still supports S2 security, SmartStart pairing, and firmware updates over Z-Wave, and strengthens the Z-Wave mesh by relaying for other devices.
