The Leviton ZW6HD is a Decora Smart in-wall dimmer on Z-Wave 800 Series that replaces a standard switch and dims LED, CFL, incandescent, and halogen lighting, with fade and preset level settings to keep LED bulbs from flickering.
Requires a neutral wire. It handles up to 300 W of LED or CFL lighting, or 600 W of incandescent or halogen, and its “Off Means Off” design keeps low-wattage LED bulbs from glowing when the dimmer is off. For a light controlled from two places, add a DD00R or DD0SR wired companion at the second switch.
Home Assistant controls it as a dimmable light. Fade on and off times, minimum and maximum brightness, the level the light comes on at, and the load type are all settings Home Assistant can change, and they are the ones Leviton provides to stop LED bulbs from flickering. A double tap on the top of the paddle turns the light on at full brightness.
It supports S2 security, SmartStart pairing, and firmware updates over Z-Wave, and it strengthens the Z-Wave mesh by relaying for other devices. A white wallplate is in the box, and the DDKIT kit changes the color.
