A wired KNX floor sensor that detects water leaks and seepage. Home Assistant reads its alarm through the KNX integration, so a leak can close the water and alert the homeowner.
A 70 mm puck that sits on the floor and connects to the KNX bus on a 1.4 m cable, with no battery to replace. It is sealed to IP66 and lights up when it detects water.
Delays can be set before the alarm turns on and off, and the alarm resets by itself or on command.
It is programmed in ETS first. In Home Assistant, its alarm is added as a binary sensor in the KNX panel, using the group address from the ETS project.
Recipes using this device
Leak Auto Shutoff
Installs a Home Assistant automation that closes your water shutoff valve the instant a leak sensor goes wet, so a burst hose or a failed valve stops flooding within seconds. Add a smart plug to cut the appliance, a siren, and a speaker.
Water Leak Alert
Installs a Home Assistant automation that watches every water leak sensor you select and alerts you the moment one goes wet, naming the spot so you know where to look. Add a speaker and the same warning is announced out loud.
