The PAC-USWHS002-WF-2 adapter puts a Mitsubishi Electric indoor unit on Wi-Fi and the Comfort app. Home Assistant reaches the same units through its Mitsubishi Comfort integration.
Each indoor unit needs its own adapter, and each one shows up as a zone in Mitsubishi’s Comfort app, which replaced the Kumo Cloud app. A three-head system needs three adapters, so price them per indoor unit.
The adapter joins only encrypted 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, and routers set to Wi-Fi 5, 6 or 6E alone are not supported. Check that the 2.4 GHz band is on where the indoor units are.
In Home Assistant, each indoor unit becomes a climate control with its room temperature, humidity and filter status. The integration signs in to the Mitsubishi account to find the units, then controls them over the home network. It finds each unit’s address automatically only when the unit is on the same network as Home Assistant.
