The reference open-source sprinkler controller: 8 zones on board, expandable to 72 with zone expanders, built-in Wi-Fi and OLED display, with an optional wired Ethernet module. Home Assistant runs zones, programs, and rain delays over the fully documented local HTTP API, and no cloud account or subscription exists at all.
Works on integrations
Roles it can fill
Driven by the OpenSprinkler HACS integration (local polling of the controller's HTTP API): zone and program switches, run-once with per-zone durations, rain delay, and controller sensors. Firmware also publishes MQTT natively. Available in AC-powered (24 VAC), DC-powered, and Latch variants ($140–$183); the stock 24 VAC/500 mA transformer supports up to 4 simultaneous valves. Supports remote and HTTP stations, two master stations, and multiple sensor inputs.
