Everything the ratgdo32 does, plus a Class 1 VCSEL time-of-flight laser (940 nm, under 1 mW) on an aimable mount and an onboard beeper. The laser reads distance to about 8 feet and reports the car arriving and leaving, which is what turns 'the door opened' into 'the car is home' without a presence tag or a phone's location, and it is the sensor that makes a 'close the garage if the car is gone' recipe worth writing. Glass and light-absorbing surfaces, a convertible soft top among them, do not reflect enough light for a dependable reading, so aim it at sheet metal. The beeper sounds through a configurable closing delay before the door moves, which is a warning an opener with no siren of its own never gives; it is one part of what unattended closing calls for, not the whole of it, so keep the obstruction sensor in the loop and check what the local code expects before automating a close nobody is watching. Opener support and wiring match the ratgdo32 and it runs the same ESPHome project, with its own build for the distance sensor and vehicle entities, and the encoder plugs into the same auxiliary harness. Ships with the board, an aimable mount, a USB-C cable and power supply, and the opener wire harness.
