Energeasy Connect V3 Rail Din (RXCKITMOD3)

Selora recommended

The Energeasy Connect V3 Rail Din (RXCKITMOD3) is the DIN-rail version of Rexel's multiprotocol controller: the same io-homecontrol, RTS, and Zigbee radios and the same Home Assistant local API support, in a module that mounts in the consumer unit.

The panel-mounted option, which is the right one for new construction and rewires: the controller is fixed, powered, and cabled where the rest of the electrical work happens instead of sitting on a shelf next to the router. Coverage is the whole house rather than one category, shutters and doors, lighting, heating, hot water, ventilation, and security equipment, across io-homecontrol, RTS, and Zigbee. Home Assistant supports it over both the cloud and the local API, with the local token generated in the EConnect app under Settings, My home, Maintenance. The trade-off of panel mounting is radio: a metal enclosure and a basement location attenuate 868 MHz badly, so verify range to the furthest shutter before the panel is closed up. A single front-panel LED is all the diagnostics the module gives, so the gateway's own connectivity is worth monitoring from Home Assistant rather than from the wall.

Hardware availability

Local API support covers the Energeasy Connect Rail Din, V2, V3, and V3 Rail Din gateways. The original Energeasy Connect box is cloud only. The local token comes from the EConnect app under Settings, My home, Maintenance, then the gateway’s Local API entry, and the cloud path additionally needs OAuth credentials issued by Rexel. Products are distributed through Rexel branches and carry a two-year warranty from first activation.
