The Energeasy Connect V3 controller (RXCE.CONNECT3) is Rexel's plug-in multiprotocol gateway on the Overkiz platform, combining io-homecontrol, RTS, and Zigbee. It is one of the few Overkiz gateways Home Assistant can drive over the local API instead of the cloud.

The reason to know this product: outside Somfy's own boxes, Rexel's gateways are the only Overkiz hardware with a local API, so a mixed installation of io shutters, RTS awnings, and Zigbee lighting can be controlled from Home Assistant without a cloud round trip. Get the token from the EConnect app under Settings, My home, Maintenance, then the gateway and Local API; the integration then connects to the gateway PIN plus `.local:8443`. Two limits carry over from the platform: scenarios and climate entities exist only on the cloud API, and the gateway's execution queue holds around ten commands, so a whole-house cover scene needs to be staggered. The cloud path is more awkward here than for Somfy, because it needs OAuth credentials issued by Rexel rather than just an account. Sold through Rexel branches to the trade, with a two-year warranty running from first activation rather than from purchase.
Hardware availability
Local API support covers the Energeasy Connect Rail Din, V2, V3, and V3 Rail Din gateways. The original Energeasy Connect box is cloud only. The local token comes from the EConnect app under Settings, My home, Maintenance, then the gateway’s Local API entry, and the cloud path additionally needs OAuth credentials issued by Rexel. Products are distributed through Rexel branches and carry a two-year warranty from first activation.
