S6 MaxV

A legacy Roborock flagship that Home Assistant controls locally through the Xiaomi Miio integration using the device token. Once the token is extracted it runs on the LAN with no cloud in the control path, though the hardware is now discontinued.

Roles it can fill
Tier 1, local. The S6 MaxV predates Roborock's standalone app and is driven by Home Assistant's Xiaomi Miio integration (IoT class local polling). Setup needs the 32-character device token, which is extracted once via the Mi Home app or a cloud-token extractor; after that, control and status run over the LAN with no cloud dependency. The vacuum entity exposes start, pause, stop, return_to_base, clean_spot, locate, set_fan_speed, and send_command, and per-room/segment cleaning works once the robot's segments are mapped to Home Assistant areas. Live map rendering depends on community tooling rather than being built in. The same local-token path also covers the plain S6 and S6 Pure. This model is discontinued, so buy used. For a fully cloud-free build on comparable hardware, root a supported robot and run Valetudo instead.
