S8 MaxV Ultra
The prior-generation Roborock flagship with PreciSense LiDAR and the RockDock Ultra. The core Roborock integration gives local control on the LAN, with the same Roborock-account and cloud-map caveats as the current line.
Tier 2, cloud-assisted-local. The S8 MaxV Ultra uses PreciSense LiDAR navigation, 10,000 Pa HyperForce suction, the VibraRise 3.0 mopping system, and the 8-in-1 RockDock Ultra. In Home Assistant the core Roborock integration exposes the vacuum entity (start, pause, stop, return_to_base, clean_spot, locate, set_fan_speed, send_command) with map and sensor entities and per-room/segment cleaning once segments are mapped to Home Assistant areas. Tier caveats apply: a Roborock account is required for setup, local control runs on port 58867 with ~30-second polling, maps and routines come from the cloud, and the robot blocks its local API when it cannot reach Roborock's servers. It is a well-priced fallback to the current Saros 10R and Qrevo Curv. For a fully local build, root a supported robot with Valetudo.
