Saros 10R

Selora recommended

Roborock's current ultra-slim flagship. The core Roborock integration gives fast local control on the LAN, though it needs a Roborock account to set up and pulls maps from the cloud. Day-to-day commands and polling stay on the network.

Tier 2, cloud-assisted-local. The Saros 10R uses StarSight solid-state navigation with VertiBeam obstacle avoidance, an AdaptiLift chassis, dual-spinning mops, and the Multifunctional Dock 4.0. In Home Assistant the core Roborock integration provides the vacuum entity (start, pause, stop, return_to_base, clean_spot, locate, set_fan_speed, send_command) plus map, sensor, and fan-speed/mop selects, with per-room/segment cleaning once the robot's segments are mapped to Home Assistant areas. Setup requires a Roborock account. The integration prefers local communication (port 58867, ~30-second polling) but still fetches maps and routines from Roborock's cloud, and when the robot is offline it blocks its own local API until it can reach Roborock's servers. For a fully local build, root a supported robot and run Valetudo. This is the best-supported current flagship you can buy new.
