Roku Streaming Stick Plus
The Roku Streaming Stick Plus is Roku's current mainstream 4K HDR stick, an inexpensive way to give any TV a clean Home Assistant media_player. The local roku integration provides power, volume, app launch, and playback state, so even a guest-room TV can join playback-aware lighting and bedtime all-off routines.
Controlled locally over Roku's ECP protocol (local polling); setup is automatic with no pairing or account. The stick is Wi-Fi only and powers from the TV's USB port, so keep it on always-on USB power if automations need to reach it while the TV is off.
