Fan Controller
A fan controller sets the speed of a ceiling or exhaust fan from the wall or an automation. Purpose-built fan control changes speed safely where an ordinary light dimmer would damage the motor.
A fan controller drives an inductive fan motor in steps, either as an in-wall switch or as a module at the fan canopy. It is built for fan loads, so it adjusts speed without the humming, overheating, or shortened motor life that a light dimmer would cause on the same circuit.
