Solar Inverter

A solar inverter converts DC power from panels into AC power for the home and reports production to Home Assistant. Read locally, it feeds the energy dashboard and drives automations that react to real-time solar output.

A solar inverter sits between the panels and the breaker panel, converting DC to AC and metering everything it converts. Read over the local network (a native local API or Modbus TCP), it gives Home Assistant live production, lifetime energy, and on hybrid models the battery and grid flows too, with no cloud account in the loop.
