Shelly BLU Button1 is a compact battery-powered Bluetooth scene controller that triggers scenes and automations with single, double, triple, and long-press actions. It broadcasts in BTHome format for direct, local control without cloud dependency.
Runs on a single CR2032 coin cell (up to ~2 years) and works locally over Bluetooth/BTHome, optionally relayed by a Shelly BLU Gateway to the Shelly integration; no cloud required. Supports single, double, triple, and long-press actions with AES-encrypted broadcasts.
Events and automation triggers
Presses on this device reach Home Assistant as device triggers through
the
Shelly
integration, which you pick in the automation editor after pairing.
The button list, and whether each button also becomes an
event
entity, comes from what the device reports at pairing time, so it
appears once the device is on the network.
