Simu LiveIn2
Simu is the Somfy Group brand for shutter and awning motorization sold through fabricators, and LiveIn2 was its connected offer: one box, one app, and Simu's own Hz and bidirectional BHz radio instead of io-homecontrol. LiveIn2 runs on the Overkiz platform, so Home Assistant reaches a LiveIn2 installation through the Overkiz integration with Simu LiveIn2 selected as the server, which is the only way those shutters get into an automation.
Hardware availability
The LiveIn2 box is discontinued: Simu moved the offer to Somfy’s TaHoma switch, which brings a wider compatibility list and the local API that LiveIn2 never had. Existing boxes still work and Home Assistant still supports them, cloud only. Somfy RTS equipment can be driven by a LiveIn2 box but reports nothing back, so those covers stay stateless in Home Assistant.
