Connexoon io
Connexoon io (1811429) is the small io-homecontrol box Somfy sold as an entry point below TaHoma, with three app personalities for windows, access, and the terrace. It is discontinued, but Home Assistant still drives it through Overkiz over both the cloud and the local API.
Protocols
One box, three apps: Connexoon Window for interior blinds, curtains, and lighting, Connexoon Access for gates and garage doors, and Connexoon Terrace for awnings and pergolas. The hardware is identical and the app decided which slice of the house it showed, which is exactly the limitation Home Assistant removes: Overkiz sees every paired io device on the box regardless of which Connexoon app was activated. Somfy's own product page now marks the box no longer marketed and steers users to the TaHoma app, so treat it as an install to support rather than to specify. Everything is io-homecontrol here, so covers report real position, and the local API works with the same PIN plus `.local:8443` addressing as the TaHoma line.
Hardware availability
TaHoma switch is the current hub in both Europe and North America, in two regional variants: the European unit adds io-homecontrol to RTS and Zigbee, the North American unit is RTS and Zigbee only because io-homecontrol is not sold there. TaHoma v2 and the Connexoon boxes are no longer marketed, and Somfy’s own product page labels the Connexoon box discontinued, but both stay supported by Home Assistant and both still answer the local API. Somfy myLink is listed obsolete on the Somfy store. Motors are ordered through Somfy dealers and shade fabricators rather than retail, so several of the links below are manufacturer product pages rather than storefronts.
