The full-size Sonos subwoofer, with dual force-cancelling drivers, Wi-Fi 6 and an Ethernet port. It bonds to one Sonos player rather than joining the system as a room, so in Home Assistant it shows up as controls on the speaker it is bonded to, not as an entity of its own.
Worth setting expectations on before commissioning: a bonded Sub has no media_player entity. What Home Assistant gets instead are sub controls on the host player, an enable switch plus gain and crossover settings, so automations that want to drop the bass at night act on the soundbar or speaker, not on the Sub. One Sub bonds to one player or stereo pair, so a house with three theater rooms needs three. It has an Ethernet port, and Sonos asks you to hardwire the home theater primary before any satellite, so wire the bar first and the Sub second. The third generation Sub, still sold and widely installed, behaves identically from the Home Assistant side.
