An outdoor KNX weather station measuring wind, rain, brightness and temperature, made to drive blinds and sun protection automatically. Home Assistant reads its measurements through the KNX integration.
One wall-mounted unit measures wind speed, rain, brightness and outdoor temperature. Three brightness sensors let it shade up to eight facades by the sun’s position, and it does the measuring and evaluation itself, for fully automatic blind and sun protection control.
It runs on 110 to 230 V, which also heats the rain sensor. It keeps measuring without that supply, but the rain sensor heating then stops. Versions with GPS and for 24 V are also available.
It is programmed in ETS first. In Home Assistant, its readings are added as sensors in the KNX panel, using the group addresses from the ETS project, so wind, rain and light can drive automations.

Recipes that can use it
These recipes are built around other hardware, and pick this device up as an optional extra.
Circadian Adaptive Lighting
Installs a Home Assistant automation that walks the colour and brightness of your dimmable lights through the day, cool and bright around midday and warm and low in the evening. It only ever changes lights that are already on, so it never switches a light on by itself.
Motion Hallway Light
Installs a Home Assistant automation that turns a hallway or landing light on when motion is seen and off again once the space has been still for a grace period you set. Add a light sensor and it only runs after dark, add a presence sensor and it holds the light while someone lingers.
Presence Room Lighting
Installs a Home Assistant automation that keeps a room's lights on for as long as an mmWave presence sensor sees someone in it, and switches them off shortly after the room empties. Add a light sensor to run only after dark, and dimmable lights that come up softly.
Shades by Sun and Heat
Installs a Home Assistant automation that closes your shades when the sun climbs high and the day is hot, and opens them again as the sun drops, using Home Assistant's own sun position. Add a light and temperature sensor to hold it to genuinely bright, hot afternoons.
