Six individually switched outlets with per outlet energy monitoring, plus three USB charging ports. One Wi-Fi client covers six metered circuits, which is why it earns its place behind a rack or media wall.
Each of the six outlets comes into Home Assistant as its own switch with its own power and energy sensors, so a media wall or network rack gets a per appliance energy breakdown without six plugs competing for the 2.4GHz band. The three USB ports are always on and are not switchable. 15A total across the strip with built in surge protection, so add the loads up before you fill it. Local polling through the tplink integration, provisioned in the Kasa app first, with TP-Link cloud credentials required on current firmware.
