An in-wall switch with built in motion and ambient light sensors, so hallways, laundries and garages turn themselves on without touching a plate or a recipe.
The motion and daylight logic runs on the switch itself, which is the point: the lights work during a network or Home Assistant outage. The trade off is that Home Assistant sees the switch entity plus the on-device motion settings rather than a motion sensor it can reuse, so do not design recipes that expect occupancy events from this device. Where the motion has to drive other rooms, pair a dedicated presence sensor with a plain KS205. Neutral required, single pole, 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, local polling through the tplink integration.
