Four fan speeds for AC motor fans under 60W and 1 to 100 percent dimming on the light, with load ratings of 150W LED or 300W incandescent and 1.5A on the fan. The requirement that decides the job: separate fan and light load wires have to arrive at the box, since the switch cannot split a fan and light sharing one switched leg.
