A battery video doorbell with a 2K head to toe view, shipped with the H200 hub as its chime and recorder. Read the Home Assistant streaming caveat below before specifying it.
2560x1920 in a 4:3 head to toe frame at 15fps, 160 degree diagonal view, color night vision with a spotlight, two way audio, IP64, AI person, pet, package and vehicle detection, and a removable A100 battery quoted at up to 180 days. The kit includes the H200 hub, which is the chime and holds the microSD card up to 512GB. The doorbell is not a Wi-Fi client: its datasheet gives the radio as sub-1G for the local link between doorbell and hub, the same band the Tapo sensors use, so the hub is its only route onto the network and the hub's uplink, with the Ethernet run behind it, is what has to reach your gear. The catch for our use: the D230 is one of the Tapo cameras with no RTSP or ONVIF, and hub attached camera streaming is still on the tplink integration's roadmap, so expect events and battery in Home Assistant rather than a live feed today. Where a live doorbell stream in Home Assistant is a requirement, specify a wired PoE doorbell such as the UniFi or DoorBird units in this catalog.
