Neutral required and single pole only, 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, no hub needed for the switch itself. Matter certification means it can be commissioned with the printed code into the Matter integration, while the tplink integration is the path that keeps it alongside the rest of a Tapo fleet. For a second point of control TP-Link's answer is a Tapo button paired through a hub rather than real three way wiring, and that button does not currently raise press events in Home Assistant, so treat true three way runs as a job for the Kasa KS230 KIT or a wired alternative.
