Trane
Trane and American Standard smart thermostats in Home Assistant. Most run through the cloud. The nexia integration (cloud polling, with a Nexia or Trane Home account) covers the Wi-Fi XL1050, XL850, and XL824 plus their American Standard equivalents. Local control is limited. Only the Trane XL1050 and American Standard Platinum 1050 on firmware v5.9 or later have local control, through the Trane Local integration over the LAN with mTLS.

American Standard's AccuLink Platinum 1050 (AZONE1050) is the American Standard version of the Trane XL1050. It has a 7-inch color touchscreen with Wi-Fi, a built-in Z-Wave hub, and RoomIQ zoning, and it is the only American Standard thermostat with a local Home Assistant path.
XL1050
Trane's ComfortLink II XL1050 has a 7-inch color touchscreen, Wi-Fi or Ethernet, and a built-in Z-Wave hub. It runs Trane's communicating, zoned HVAC systems with RoomIQ remote sensors, and it is the one Trane thermostat with a local Home Assistant path.
XL824
ComfortLink II XL824 smart thermostat with a 4.3-inch color touchscreen, Wi-Fi, and a built-in Z-Wave hub, for standard non-zoned HVAC systems. In Home Assistant it is cloud-only through the nexia integration and needs a Nexia or Trane Home account.
