XL1050
Trane's ComfortLink II XL1050 has a 7-inch color touchscreen, Wi-Fi or Ethernet, and a built-in Z-Wave hub. It runs Trane's communicating, zoned HVAC systems with RoomIQ remote sensors, and it is the one Trane thermostat with a local Home Assistant path.

Roles it can fill
The only Trane thermostat with local control in Home Assistant. On firmware v5.9 or later the Trane Local integration (added in HA 2026.3) reaches it over the LAN with a direct mTLS connection and no cloud. The nexia integration is the cloud-polling fallback and needs a Nexia or Trane Home account. Prefer the local trane path. It has a 7-inch color touchscreen, 2 cooling and 5 heating stages, and a built-in Z-Wave bridge. Zoning and RoomIQ remote sensors show up as extra zones and entities under this thermostat rather than as separate Home Assistant devices.
