The UniFi Doorbell Lite is a compact 5MP PoE video doorbell with two-way audio and a tall 3:4 view that frames a visitor head to toe. Home Assistant's local UniFi Protect integration exposes its stream, ring event, and smart detections.
The budget Protect doorbell, and the easy one to wire: PoE only at 8W, so no doorbell transformer or chime circuit is involved. The 1/2.7-inch 5MP sensor shoots 1920x2560 in portrait (175.9-degree diagonal), which shows a package on the step as well as the face at the door. Smart detections cover people, vehicles, and animals; unlike the G4 Doorbell Pro there is no second package camera, no LCD display, and no bundled chime, and IR reaches 5m. IPX5, so mount it under cover. Requires a UniFi Protect console with a local admin account.
