The UDM Pro is Ubiquiti's rack-mount router and UniFi Protect recorder without PoE. It is a valid Protect console for Home Assistant's unifiprotect integration, but the cameras need their power from somewhere else.

Same Protect console role as the SE, on one 3.5-inch bay, with the same local-user path for Home Assistant and the same two 10G SFP+ ports. The difference that decides a quote is power: the Pro has no PoE output at all, so every camera needs a PoE switch or injector alongside it, where the SE can carry a couple itself. The SE also takes a 2.5 GbE RJ45 WAN against the Pro's gigabit. Where the Pro earns its place is a site that already has a PoE switch, or a lower price for the same routing. Ubiquiti also sells a Dream Machine Pro Max, which is the same console role with two bays and redundant recording storage. The drive is not included. The unifiprotect integration connects over the LAN to the console. Full access needs a local UniFi OS user created on the console itself plus a Protect API key; an API key alone works but exposes a subset of the entities. Ubiquiti SSO cloud accounts do not work either way.
