The UniFi G6 PTZ is an all-weather 4K dual-lens camera with 10x hybrid zoom and motorized pan-tilt-zoom tracking for driveways, lots, and acreage. Home Assistant's local UniFi Protect integration exposes its streams and smart detection events.
One camera instead of four on a long driveway or parking area: a wide overview lens plus a motorized zoom lens that auto-tracks whatever the AI engine detects. The Protect console owns the tracking logic, so Home Assistant consumes the result (streams plus person, vehicle, animal, face, and license-plate events) rather than driving the gimbal. On-camera storage options run from 128GB to 1TB for redundancy if the console link drops. IP66, and note the power budget: the motorized head needs PoE+ (802.3at, 24.5W max), so an 802.3af-only port will not run it. Needs a UniFi Protect console with a local admin account.
