The WizzBox is the Overkiz DIN-rail gateway Ubiwizz sells to electrical installers, bridging EnOcean, io-homecontrol, RTS, and Z-Wave equipment from one module in the communication panel. Home Assistant reaches it through the Overkiz integration with Ubiwizz as the server.

Designed for the communication panel: it mounts on DIN rail, ships with its power supply, and connects to the operator's box by Ethernet, which makes it the natural gateway on a job where the electrician is already in the panel. The protocol spread is what it is bought for, EnOcean switches that need no battery and no cable alongside io shutters, RTS awnings, and Z-Wave devices, plus cloud-to-cloud products such as Hue and Somfy Protect in the app. Home Assistant sees the equipment the Overkiz platform manages and not those cloud-to-cloud partners, which belong in Home Assistant through their own integrations. Cloud only, so an internet outage leaves the wall switches working and the automations not. The EnOcean-capable WizzBox has listed under €220 in French distribution, which makes it one of the cheaper ways into the Overkiz platform for a retrofit.
Hardware availability
Ubiwizz is cloud only in Home Assistant: local API support covers Somfy and Rexel gateways, and Ubiwizz is not one of them. The hardware is sold through electrical distribution rather than retail, and Ubiwizz is also a partner in builder programmes such as Bouygues Immobilier’s Flexom, so the label on the panel is the quickest way to tell which platform a home is actually on.
