The Ultraloq Bolt Mission is a Matter over Thread deadbolt with ultra-wideband hands-free unlock. Home Assistant controls it locally through the Matter integration, with no Wi-Fi bridge and no U-tec cloud account required.

Roles it can fill
Needs a Thread border router and a Matter controller; Home Assistant then gets local lock and unlock plus battery, and Matter PIN credential management on Home Assistant 2026.4 or newer. Verify code management against this lock before promising it to a client. The UWB hands-free auto-unlock runs through the Xthings app, not HA, and Apple home key is not supported. New to market in 2025-2026, so field history is short. The optional Wi-Fi bridge is a cloud path. Skip it for local installs.
