Wires in single pole or direct 3-way with an existing mechanical switch, so no add-on switch is needed. Reports instant status to Z-Wave JS after every paddle tap, and as a mains-powered device it repeats the Z-Wave mesh for legacy nodes.

Presses on this device reach Home Assistant as device triggers through

Z-Wave
integration, which you pick in the automation editor after pairing.
The button list, and whether each button also becomes an
event
entity, comes from what the device reports at pairing time, so it
appears once the device is on the network.
