Built on the 800-series Z-Wave chip with S2 security and SmartStart. On Z-Wave JS it runs a standard Z-Wave mesh and adds Z-Wave Long Range for longer one-hop links, and it falls back to a plain mesh on older controllers. Buy the US 908.42 MHz region. Give it a short USB 2.0 extension cable to clear USB 3.0 ports and SSDs, whose 2.4 GHz noise degrades Z-Wave. Never restore an NVM backup from a 500 or 700-series stick onto it, since a cross-series restore can brick the radio.
