Denon HEOS Integration Setup
Connect Denon HEOS speakers and receivers to Home Assistant and sign in with your HEOS account to unlock streaming services, playlists, and favorites.
Denon HEOS speakers, receivers, and amplifiers connect to Home Assistant through the built-in Denon HEOS integration. One connection covers the whole HEOS system. Signing in with your HEOS account username and password afterwards unlocks streaming services, playlists, and favorites.
Before You Start
Confirm the following before you begin:
- At least one HEOS device is on the same network as Home Assistant.
- If the system has several HEOS devices, pick one that is wired to the LAN and always powered on to act as the connection host.
- You have the HEOS account username and password available to get the most out of the integration.
Step 1: Add the Denon HEOS Integration
- In Home Assistant, go to Settings > Devices & Services.
- If a HEOS device was discovered automatically, select it under Discovered. Otherwise, select Add Integration, search for Denon HEOS, and enter the host name or IP address of your chosen HEOS device.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.
Step 2: Sign In to Your HEOS Account
- Go to Settings > Devices & Services and open the Denon HEOS integration.
- Select Configure.
- Enter the HEOS account username and password.
Without signing in, the integration stays logged out and streaming services, playlists, and favorites are unavailable.
Step 3: Verify the Devices
Every HEOS device in the system appears as a media player with playback, volume, grouping, and source controls.
