Home Assistant Companion App Remote Access

Before You Start

Make sure:

1. Remote Access has already been turned on in your Selora Homes installation page.
2. You have your personal remote access URL and password from the step above saved in a secure location.
3. You have already finished Home Assistant Companion App Setup .

Add Your Remote Access URL in the App

1. Open the Home Assistant Companion App.
2. Go to Settings > Companion App.
3. Open the connected Home Assistant server shown at the top of the page.
4. Find the External URL field.
5. Enter your personal remote access URL if it is not already set.
6. Save the settings.

Verify Remote Access in the App

1. Confirm the app can still open your Home Assistant dashboard.
2. If you want to test remote access, turn off Wi-Fi on your phone for a moment.
3. Confirm the app can still load your Home Assistant dashboard while using the remote connection.
