Use this procedure before dispatch so you arrive on-site with the right scope, equipment, and support expectations.
What to review
Before install day, review the project’s installation plan from Selora Homes.
The installation plan should include:
- A number to call to connect with a Selora Homes Customer Support Engineer during the install.
- Floor plan by floor and room.
- Devices assigned to each room.
- Devices still requiring installation.
- Home Assistant integration assigned to each device or device group.
- Placement notes, install notes, or special customer instructions.
How to use the plan
- Confirm you understand which devices are being installed on this visit.
- Confirm where each device should be installed.
- Confirm which communication protocols are required for the project.
- Confirm which Selora equipment and communication protocol dongles should already be available on-site.
- Confirm which items are marked as priority devices.
- Confirm the customer support number is available before you leave for the job.
- Use the installation plan as the source of truth for what gets installed, where it goes, and which integrations should be attempted.
Before you leave
Before dispatch, make sure:
- The install scope matches the job you are expecting.
- You have the required tools and materials.
- You know which Selora Homes equipment should already be at the customer site.
- You know which items may require customer involvement.
- You know when and how to call a Selora Homes Customer Support Engineer.
