Remote Access

Remote access allows you to securely connect to your Home Assistant instance from anywhere, without exposing your home network to the internet.

Prerequisites

Before enabling remote access, ensure:

1. Your SeloraBox installation is complete
2. Your installation is registered in Selora Connect
3. You have an active Selora Homes subscription

Enabling Remote Access

Once your installation is complete and your subscription is active:

1. Log in to your Home Assistant instance
2. Navigate to My Home Assistant in the sidebar
3. Find the Remote Access section
4. Toggle the Enable button

How It Works

SeloraBox remote access uses a secure tunnel to connect you to your Home Assistant instance. Your data is encrypted in transit, and no ports need to be opened on your home router.

This means:

• No port forwarding required on your home network
• Encrypted connections between your device and Home Assistant
• No exposure of your home network to the internet

Using Remote Access

Once enabled, use the provided URL as the Remote URL in your Home Assistant companion app settings. See the Home Assistant documentation for detailed instructions.
