Unacceptable Behavior

The following behaviors are unacceptable:

Harassment: Including but not limited to:

  • Offensive comments related to protected characteristics
  • Unwelcome sexual attention or advances
  • Deliberate intimidation or stalking
  • Sustained disruption of meetings or events
  • Inappropriate physical contact

Discrimination: Treating people differently based on protected characteristics

Retaliation: Retaliating against someone who reports misconduct

Dishonesty: Lying, cheating, or stealing

Unprofessional Conduct: Including:

  • Aggressive, threatening, or abusive language
  • Sharing confidential information without authorization
  • Violating company policies
  • Creating a hostile work environment

Reporting

If you experience or witness unacceptable behavior:

Immediate Safety Concerns: Contact local authorities if you feel unsafe

HR Report: Email hr@selorahomes.com with details of the incident

Manager Report: Speak with your direct manager

Anonymous Report: Use our anonymous reporting hotline (number provided to employees)

What to Include in a Report

  • Your contact information (unless anonymous)
  • Description of the incident
  • Date, time, and location
  • Names of people involved
  • Names of witnesses
  • Any supporting documentation (emails, messages, etc.)

Investigation Process

All reports will be:

Taken Seriously: We investigate all reports promptly and thoroughly

Treated Confidentially: Information is shared only on a need-to-know basis

Handled Fairly: All parties will have an opportunity to share their perspective

Resolved Appropriately: We take corrective action based on findings

Consequences

Violations of this code of conduct may result in:

  • Verbal or written warning
  • Required training or counseling
  • Temporary suspension
  • Termination of employment
  • Legal action (in severe cases)

The severity of the consequence depends on the nature and severity of the violation.

This code of conduct applies to all Selora Homes team members, contractors, customers, and partners in all work-related contexts, including in-person meetings, online communications, conferences, and social events.
